The Network Development Team is responsible for establishing a network of professional, motivated and profitable dealers that enable Daimler to meet its commercial objectives in Hungary. As a team member I have supported the long-term development of the Mercedes-Benz and smart retail networks in the following projects and tasks: • Defining and implementing the national Network Development Strategy in the Passenger Car (PC), Van and Truck divisions; • Analyzing key quantitative and qualitative KPIs of the network, including dealer sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction; • Providing planning and guidance to dealers on dealer standards, corporate identity and branding; • Initiation, coordination and consultation in business process improvement in the dealerships with a focus on providing best customer experience to our customers.
As an intern of the Financing CEE / PCF A & CEE Department my responsibilities included the followings: • Drafting memorandums for credit applications of Power & Environment, Transportation and Infrastructure/PPP projects; • Preparing project risk identification/mitigation analyses and financial calculations; • Reviewing and improving Excel-based cash flow models/projections for debt sizing of project companies (SPVs); • Preparing and updating pitch presentations for deals related to renewables, telecom tower sharing and hospital projects; • Conducting market research about trends and regulatory environment of financing renewables and infrastructure in CEE.
During my part-time internship I supported the Mercedes-Benz Cars Sales & Marketing and the Network Development departments. I took part in multiple change processes within the company, including the introduction of the Retail Consulting subdepartment and the new car configurator. I am proud of the following achievements: • Supporting the adoption of the Global Retail Consulting guidelines to the Hungarian market. My responsibilities included market research and translations supporting retail-related activities in the field of marketing and financial strategy, as well as the preparation of training materials and cost calculations for the upcoming investments of the local dealerships. • Successful release of the Hungarian Mercedes-Benz car configurator. As a project member I contributed to the development and test phases by writing basic XML commands, translating the names of car equipments and executing integrity checks within internal systems. During this assignment I could benefit from my intercultural background as the project work involved frequent contact with the German colleagues. • The competitor analyses and the analysis of the Hungarian premium automotive sector I prepared became inputs for the network development strategy. I examined key financial indicators and performed controlling checks to ensure the optimal performance of the network.
