  • salesforce Solution Architect at Astadia - Where Enterprise Meets Cloud
    Jan 2016 - Dec 2017 · 2 yrs

Astadia had recently off-shored their UK-based salesforce development capability to India. Hence, Astadia needed someone to be their only onshore technical and project-delivery person. Supporting the existing Astadia client-base, Myles was responsible for the complete project lifecycle; from requirements gathering and definition to project planning to contract drafting to project delivery and completion. Myles managed an offshore team from Astadia’s new salesforce partner, ensuring that all EU-based client technical requirements and project timelines and budgets were met. Myles inherited 8 clients with multiple projects of varying involvement; from requirements definition to project technical design to scoping and budgeting, to at least delivery to standard and within timelines and budget. Myles managed various offshore teams configured from a pool of 30 developers and technical architects, holding daily to weekly stand-ups and progress meetings, depending on the project size, complexity and stage of development. Myles had to continually track all project progress and issues and seamlessly adapt his involvement with each project as progress, issues and client-requirements demanded. With the country manager’s departure earlier in 2017, Myles was the sole in-country salesforce-related person, relied-upon for all client-related activities (including client engagement and revenue recovery). The high-light of his Astadia-time was leading a high-pressure, intensely-focussed 4-week onshore project-discovery phase in New York for a US-headquartered UK-client. This involved getting up to speed from Day 1 in front of the client with 2 members of the India-based team who he had never met, and both help gather and document technical requirements as well as lead the team and manage client interaction and expectations.
