  • Chief Architect of Cyber Security and Defence at Lockheed Martin
    2012 - 2017 · 5 yrs

Lockheed Martin UK is the UK-based arm of Lockheed Martin Corp, a global security and aerospace company. Appointed to a newly created position, I deliver a critical Enterprise Architecture (EA) view across projects for a UK government customer to ensure alignment of projects, minimise overlaps and discover gaps. My scope of duties includes optimising project delivery processes, creating effective frameworks for infrastructure processes and gaining a deep understanding of clients’ needs to identify opportunities for new business. I also manage budgets of up to £4m, contribute to bids of up to £1.5b and lead a team of 7 Architects. ✔ Ensured that Lockheed Martin’s bid for the UK MoD Marshall project for an Air Traffic Management (ATM) service valued at £1.5bn met Invitation To Tender (ITT) requirements and achieved high scores for technical solution. Conducted an architectural review of bid response and system engineering documents to define best value MODAF views; built and led a team of 5 Architects producing 78 MODAF views based around SOA. ✔ Performed as Chief Architect on a £100m bid for a UK MoD Information Exploitation Programme (IEP), which is a component of the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) Programme combining Digital Mapping, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Cloud-based Geo-Analytics and Geo-Data Exploitation. Architected integrated system that consolidates collection, sharing and discovery of data traditionally gathered through multiple locations, systems and databases. This new capability will allow the MoD to transform raw imagery and sensor data into layered, detailed maps which support troops on the ground. ✔ Drove the continuous cost-effective, profitable execution of projects, ensuring delivery against P&L expectations.
