Montgomery, Alabama, United States
I am a political science honors graduate from the University of Alabama with educational experience in international and domestic politics. I have coursework in foreign and public policy and have performed case studies on regions such as the Middle East, Russia, China, Western Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0/4.0 GPA and was in six national/international honor societies. In my most recent experience, I completed an internship at the Alabama Department of Revenue as a policy research assistant. In this role I completed projects researching Alabama's individual and corporate income tax policy compared to those of all other states in order to provide an efficient review of Alabama's tax policy. I also completed population demographic surveys for voting districts and attended, recorded and briefed meetings by the Secretary of State. My former co-workers and professors would describe me as a highly goal-oriented and performance driven individual who can be effective working alone or collaborating with others. I am also deeply critical and analytical when it comes to finding inventive, efficient and effective solutions to any challenges and in conducting research projects. They would also describe me as being an effective orator and writer when it comes to portraying a convincing argument. I am currently seeking an entry-level opening in domestic or foreign policy research or a closely related field with aspirations of eventually getting involved in foreign policy and intelligence and can be reached either through this profile or by e-mail at [email protected]
