About

Adding up to almost three years of experience, my journey began as a web developer at my university, working with Python and JavaScript. Eventually my interests in graphics, software engineering and videogames took me to Gameloft, as an intern for the position of C++ Software Engineer, where I stayed for more than a year. My time at Gameloft sadly came to an end, but I've taken a lot from that period of my life. I enjoyed working in the game development field, and I'm looking forward to continuing to learn about other industries as well. After finishing my degree I joined Glovo as a Backend Engineer, where I wish to expand my horizons and my career further. Glovo is where I am now, and I'm eager to face the software challenges such a big and important business can bring to the table.

I joined the Catalog backend team! Our most important project was the Catalog API feeding product information and partner catalog details to downstream services such as cart or Backend For Frontends. Reaching up to 50k RPS during peak time, the focus was around making it more performant, reliable, scalable and observable; while enabling teams to keep improving the customer application. Furthermore, we also maintained publicly exposed and internal flows required for catalog asynchronous ingestions, product modifications and catalog reshaping. However, probably one of the most interesting components was the events cycle using Kafka, SNS and SQS that we established with Delivery Hero to synchronize catalog content. Such system made it possible for partners to also adopt tooling made by the parent company.

I've been part of the Disney Speedstorm tech team, firstly relying on my mentor, but gaining independence gradually until I could handle some features on my own. My time at Gameloft has been an enriching experience as I've been able to take on a wide range of challenges and tasks, spanning from GUI, to game database, gameplay logic and server related.

I worked as a fullstack developer in the team that was in charge of developing an application where the research personnel could process material purchases required for research. Thanks to my more experienced coworkers, I gained a fair amount of experience in Django Rest Framework, Javascript and CSS.
