• Ensure credit applications are adjudicated promptly, within the Bank’s established policies and procedures. • Exercise prudent credit judgment in approving and declining credit applications within established limits; presenting complete recommendations on credit requests above established limits; and, ensuring credit applications are properly, accurately and thoroughly analyzed and documented. • Oversee an assigned portfolio of accounts including monitoring unsatisfactory trends in risk ratings, credit conditions, overdue reporting, annual reviews etc., and initiate corrective action when required. • Restructure credit requests, when necessary, to make bankable deals in line with the Banks policies and guidelines. • Negotiate with Client Relationship Managers and Team Leads to ensure credit terms and conditions are appropriate and that client needs are met.
• Responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of designated portfolio of loans at an acceptable level of risk by exercising sound credit judgement in approving and recommending applications, monitoring credit quality, conditions, and collection activity, thereby ensuring loan losses are minimized. • Adjudicate on credits for Growth & Core Segment for Commercial Banking within the framework of the Commercial Credit Administration Handbook, Bank Policy and Credit Policy. • Contribute to the development of the Bank’s commercial human resources by identifying training / coaching needs. • Restructure credit requests as necessary to make bankable deals in line with Bank policy and guidelines. • Negotiates with client relationship managers and team leads to ensure credit terms and conditions are appropriate to ensure sound risk selection and that client needs are met.
•Provide a high degree of service and support on daily basis to Client Relationship Group and Credit Solutions Group. •Manage and adjudicate a portfolio of commercial borrowers with a borrowing of less than one million dollar for Northern Alberta. •Manage and monitor accounts database for all the commercial borrowers administered in the unit. •Generate different kinds of reports for various analyses. •Conduct a variety of credit skills to identify risk including review particular of fixed security, analyze borrowing base and financial statements for clarity, accuracy & reasonability •Manage risk through account monitoring to identify and act upon any material deterioration of account or portfolio risk. •Provide support to other adjudicators in routine inquiries, temporary overrun requests and in authorization of annual reviews of the borrowers.
