Define and develop APIs that offer the latest cryptographic hardware features to mainframe Java applications.
Enhanced the z/OS Java launcher with accounting relevant runtime logging capabilities, making it possible for our company to offer our clients new pricing models for modernized Java workloads on the mainframe. Rewrote the entire dataset access layer within IBM Encryption Facility for z/OS to take advantage of enhanced dataset read/write APIs, leading to I/O performance comparable with native COBOL applications. Helped our clients with their effort to modernize their legacy mainframe applications by delivering a series of education materials focusing on the benefits and capabilities of various Java based tools available on the mainframe.
Delivered enhancements addressing multiple areas of concern experienced by our clients, such as database performance, reliability, and advanced replication and conflict resolution. Designed and implemented a set of minimum schema modification rules that enabled our clients to consolidate their directory infrastructure onto z/OS.
