I help build products and markets in different industry segments and regions. My work covers advanced materials, computational sciences, and green chemistry from scientific discovery to commercialisation. I founded tech startups, lived through the rise and fall of many companies, assisted in the launch of countless inventions, and studied deep problems scientifically. Now, I'm using this experience to serve the industry. I am originally a carbon materials scientist who has had the opportunity to work with all solid forms of carbon. Since then I have grown out of it to become a versatile founder & advisor. For two decades, I have been a trusted consultant for startups, SMEs, and corporations, driving breakthroughs across diverse sectors, from advanced materials and sustainability to data science, even space exploration. My expertise has fuelled global innovations in nanocomposites for industrial use cases like textile fibres, plastic machine parts, and elastomers. I am proudly an early inventor in graphene, metal-organic frameworks, shear-thickening fluids, biodegradable plastics, cellulose nanofibres, and many more. I was involved in a great variety of materials science projects, from protective clothing for firefighters, electronic textiles, engineering ceramics, electromagnetic shielding, to industrial-scale fullerene purification. My most recent jobs were about sorbent-based atmospheric water harvesting technologies and redox flow batteries. I have also contributed to emerging frontiers of sustainability, including chemical recycling of polyolefins, end-of-life tyre pulverisation, marine-life conservation, textile circularity, and pyrolysis technologies for tyre recycling. Beyond material science, my work extends to data-driven solutions, particularly artificial intelligence, graph analytics, and statistical design and analysis of experiments. My mission remains the same: to bridge scientific discovery with impactful applications by transforming ideas into tangible progress.
