Developed subsea products and created prototype in-house software to automate accumulated plastic strain assessment for various manufacturing routes. Researched the recovery properties of crushed SDSS tube and steel tube ovality during umbilical installation, demonstrating mechanical testing accuracy against crush FEA in the final report. Procured and set up mobile Reel Crane, including: reviewing supplier technical specifications, creating training and maintenance manuals, preparing the site for operation, obtaining local authority approval for road closure, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring safety announcements for all site staff.
Part of the Northumbria Marketing and Student Recruitment team, my role focused on providing a link between the University and schools/colleges within the North of England. Within this I specialised In delivering specifically designed programmes to each individual school or college, teaching a range of various key skills needed to succeed within Higher Education and Work. Building and developing workshops that increase aspirations and widen participation across all higher educational levels Representing the University at key recruitment events.
