Overseeing a portfolio of railway related projects around the world in Siemens Mobility looking at construction procurement, contractual management, dispute resolution, and commercial risks and liabilities management. • Reporting to and advising the Global Head of International Projects Execution on strategy for improving P&L across the portfolio. • Provision of targeted inputs to support primarily high-value and ‘risky’ projects within the international project portfolio. • Engaged to risk-review and negotiate elements of contract documentation for key prospects, and input to the resolution of high value issues and disputes that arise across the global portfolio. This work includes training and the dissemination of best-practice and lessons learned to the projects and local teams. • Preparation of high level commercial and claim strategy for the regional units.

Project: Phase 2 of the Haramain High Speed Railway Managing a budget worth: 2.8 Billion Saudi Riyals for OHL Works Contracts, Commerical and Payment Responsibility for 7 disciplines: Tracks, Depots & Workshops, Maintenance Bases, Overhead Catenary Works, High Voltage Power Supply, Centralised Control Buildings and Railway Station Fitouts. Working in a FIDIC based environment. Part of my responsibilities as part of this role are: > To manage the interim payments (with a value of over 750 million USD) and assist in the contract management across 7 disciplines (Track, Work Bases, High Voltage Power Supply, Overhead Catenary System, Centralised Control Buildings, Station Fit Outs and Depots & Workshops.) > To help resolve and manage 'scope of work' issues within the Consortium. > To help ensure compliance of the contractual rights and obligations. > Assist in the external interface management. > To draft and manage letters, claims and variations. > To assist the management team and the contract manager to intervene, analyse, manage and resolve conflicts > To ensure payments are accurate and reflect agreed performance/payment mechanisms > To maintain accurate and up to date logs of issues, risks, change controls, actions, in order to ensure that actions are followed up in a timely fashion > To set up and maintain the administrative arrangements for effective and efficient contract management, including stakeholder communication, governance, and performance monitoring arrangements, payments and file/records management. >Support the BoD for all financial issues
