As Head of Key Account Management in the semiconductor industry, the role encompasses business development for strategic accounts and market expansion. Key responsibilities include fostering strong client relationships through governance structure, implementing strategic decision making, driving key initiatives to support long term business growth, and increasing the share of wallet in customers' equipment through tailored, value-driven solutions.
• Product Manager for vacuum valves responsible for LAM key account in regards to all technical aspects. • Manage product series and their life cycle during all phases (product development, phase in, CIP’s, Customization, phase out, pricing, training, marketing documentation). • Drive cost down initiatives to increase contribution margin of products. • Led project team for Vendor Managed Inventory (global project) which manages consignment stocks across all VAT customers. • Monitor supply chain concept by qualifying additional supplier, reduce lead-time and cost and optimise production. • Prepared product-training material on know-how for all functional groups and new hires. • Establishing technical customer documentation like Product Data Sheet (PDS), Process of Record (POR) and Specification Sheet. • Upgrade product controllers from old to new generation to suit current market and technologies. • Manage product transition to improve design and functionality by assessing inventory and cost. • Prepare change request for customer qualification for any change related to documented process and clarify customer's doubt for fast closure. • Explore in house and outsource part production considering the IP concern, cost involved and capacity. • Initiated Business Continuity Plan for valve and parts production in order to have continuous supply during pandemic and critical period. • Localised sourcing for main parts so that lead-time, cost and risk can be reduced. • Close support on VAT strategies such as global footprint, growth initiatives, etc.
• Completed product transfer and qualification from California, USA to Penang, Malaysia. • Develop product requirements and manufacturing processes by analyzing product documents provided by customer. • Complete Product Readiness Review (PRR) with BOM redline, OMS release, schematic buy off and as built drawings update. • Improves product assembly process by analysing workflow, space requirements, equipments and tools layout, cycle time balancing and headcount requirement. • Wire harness development with schematic. • Provides manufacturing decision making information by calculating production output, materials movement, labor, reviewing shipment schedules and estimating future requirements. • Prepare Potential Failure Mode Error Analysis (PFMEA) to prevent any potential failure by setting up efficient assembly steps. • Work towards quality improvement by preparing RCCA and 8D analysis for every failure found during manufacturing process including customer’s feedback. • Produce jig and template in order to improve process efficiency as well as control any quality escapees to Functional Test. • AQP and QMS closure to comply plant standard procedures and practice in production floor.
• Coordinate the planning of biomass power plant located in Kuang and complete the designs and calculations utilising various Autodesk softwares. • Produce risk assessments and advise on the implementation of current legislative and environmental requirements. • Check all project drawings and designs and estimate material quantities required • Undertake a daily inspection of the dragline and drill. • Assist in estimating project timelines and budgetary requirements. • Evaluate contractor tenders and manage on-site contractors. • Perform project assessments to identify areas for improvement. • Liaise with the project team with regards to planning and project maintenance. • Establish work control systems.
