• Responsible for studying the work package thoroughly and identifying all the tools, spares, support equipment required for accomplishment of Major and minor checks of the aircraft under maintenance at Base, • Determining quantum of work and allocating the tasks to production as evenly as possible based on manpower strength, • Advance planning of all the major Mods. and critical tasks that may prolong grounding of the aircraft, • Coordination with Airworthiness (Development) / MP&R department regarding queries of Work Package (ADs/SBs/MPD Generated Task Cards/ Local Cards), • Deciding on Mod. / Terminating action or scheduling in MIC in shape of Local insp. task card/ Timex ARO; Scheduling MIC after calculating approx. FH/FC/Ldgs for the subject aircraft after evaluating; Closing MIC after check completion, • Ensure compliance of safety standards during maintenance check, • Co-ordination with all related sections/shops for support i.e. NDT shop, Engine overhaul, Line Maintenance, technical services, L/G shop, Pneumatic shop, Cardex control, • Listing all Task cards requiring Log book entries and Feedback for reliability section, • Reviewing Technical & Cabin log book entries/defects and discussing/listing repeated defects with TSE/ Reliability, • Compiling lists of operator supply parts/pre-drawn/Frequently required (AOG) items, • Ensuring timely availability of all frequently used items before hand in co-ordination with Material Management section, • Evaluation of the TAT after compiling and studying the work package and producing flowchart for the subject check in MS-Project with day-to-day follow-up of the Flowchart, • Reviewing Technical Services Req. / CAA Ramp Insp./ QA Ramp Insp.; generating AROs against the req, • sure that all BSI and NDT tasks are dispatched to respective departments, • Providing solutions/ answers/ remedies to audit NCRs generated by QA and CAA.
