Musanze, Northern Province, Rwanda
I am a B.Sc. Soil Science graduate from the University of Rwanda (UR–CAVM) with a strong professional interest in sustainable agriculture, environmental management, and agri-industry development. My background combines academic research, greenhouse crop production, agricultural extension experience, and industrial laboratory quality control, enabling me to apply scientific knowledge in practical, results-oriented environments. I have hands-on experience in soil fertility management, crop production systems, data collection and analysis, quality assurance, and safety compliance. As a Laboratory Technician intern at Prime Cement, I supported sample preparation, routine testing, result documentation, and adherence to quality and safety standards, thereby strengthening my analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in regulated industrial settings. My undergraduate research focused on the usage of leguminous cover crops to enhance soil nitrogen levels and improve soil fertility, aligning with climate-smart agriculture, sustainable land management, and evidence-based decision-making. I am particularly interested in roles that connect research, production systems, extension services, and sustainability programs to drive measurable impact. I am a motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented graduate seeking opportunities in agriculture, environmental programs, agri-business, research, extension, and development organizations. I value continuous learning, teamwork, and impact-driven work. Open to roles where agriculture, environmental science, quality systems, and sustainability intersect to deliver real-world impact.
During my internship at Prime Cement, I worked as a Laboratory Technician, where I supported routine quality control tests on cement and raw materials. I assisted in sample preparation, conducted basic physical and chemical tests, recorded and analyzed results, and followed strict safety and quality standards. This experience strengthened my attention to detail, teamwork, and understanding of industrial quality assurance processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
