I have done Ph. D in Applied Biology from the University of Mumbai. During my tenure I have good exposure performing practical experiments in Molecular Biology, Bacteriology and Mycobacteriology which required standardization and evaluation of new techniques; which included sample processing, result interpretation, data analysis by statistical methods, and writing manuscripts. I have worked on several National, International and in-house projects. I Have done post-graduation in M. Tech (Biotechnology) from Padmashree D. Y. Patil University of Navi Mumbai and previously completed my graduation in B. Sc (Biotechnology) from Mumbai University. Have presented my work on the National level and has also published more than 15 publications in peer-reviewed National and International Journals.
Worked on USAID aided project entitled "iDEFEAT TB -Institutional Strengthening to Accelerate Actions for Tuberculosis (TB) and Drug Resistant TB (DR TB) in India" which involved Assessment and training of the whole genome sequencing (WGS) TB labs and assessment of the intermediate reference labs (IRLS) towards their preparedness for conducting national DR TB surveillance. Preparation of documents related to quality assurance of various processes including WGS processes for DR TB surveillance. Development of a protocol (and a model) for DR TB surveillance using WGS. iDEFEAT TB ECHO (as a co-ordinator) for supporting the WGS labs in sequencing. Conducting workshop on WGS processes.

Have good exposure performing practical experiments in Molecular Biology, Bacteriology and Mycobacteriology which required standardization and evaluation of new techniques; which included sample processing, result interpretation, data analysis by statistical methods, and writing manuscripts. Have worked on several National, International and in-house projects. Have presented my work on the National level and has also published more than 15 publications in peer-reviewed National and International Journals. Have contributed in diagnostics for validation of CMV, BK and dengue kits, performed pyrosequencing assays, interpreting and reporting the results. I have also contributed during the College of American (CAP), National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) and other audits
