Manny Shar is the Senior Director of Growth at Astrolab, a company pioneering new ways to explore and operate on distant planetary bodies. Astrolab is singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity’s presence in the solar system. Through its family of modular rover platforms, Astrolab enables the transport of cargo, equipment, and crews across planetary surfaces to support long-duration exploration and infrastructure development. At Astrolab, Manny spearheads strategic growth initiatives, forging partnerships with space agencies and industry, securing funding and contracts, and overseeing marketing and customer mission management for lunar and mars rover deployments. Manny previously founded multiple offices, secured multi-million-dollar contracts with government and commercial clients, and scaled up companies. He is a recipient of multiple awards, including the 2024 Karman Fellowship, 2023 IAF Young Space Leader award, and the William S. Ball Award for Entrepreneurship.

I helped found and grow BryceTech's first international office, based in London, UK. BryceTech is an analytics and engineering firm that partners with technology and advanced R&D clients. Our teams help government agencies, Fortune 500 firms, and investors manage complex programs, develop IT tools, and forecast critical outcomes. We offer clients proprietary, research-based models that enable evidence-based decision making. BryceTech cultivates a culture of engagement and partnership with our clients.
I managed profitability analysis of multi-billion dollar space and terrestrial assets, working across group functions analysing dozens of multi-million dollar commercial opportunities. I developed tools to enable efficient data analytics of Inmarsat space resources and competitor positioning, assisting with company-wide assessment of future revenue opportunities as well as competitor technical profiling. My work supported strategic business development activities, including analysis of potential partnerships, commercial and technical product positioning along the value chain.
