Running an engineering team focused on building a Workflow/HPC compute engine on AWS to automate actuarial pricing and valuation. Very similar to investment banking valuation projects, except in the cloud and 100x faster and cheaper. Global Fintech with engineering being based out of glorious Wellington. Also building Model-Copilot which helps actuaries document, understand and interrogate their models using natural language. NLP and Finance - Two of my favourite things!

We are one of the few machine learning agencies with deep product design experience. We approach a new technology project by first exploring the requirements of the end user; their current workflows, their goals, their idea of success. Using this knowledge we can design a system with just the right amount of machine learning, seamlessly integrated, to produce a product experience they love. Happy users lead to successful products. Our most recent project involved trademark detection and analysis for Simmons and Simmons. We ran a product discovery process then built machine learning models and user interfaces to help predict the outcomes of EUIPO trademark case law. This also involved explaining the output of a machine learning model and helping place the prediction in the context of surrounding cases. Press coverage:
