🏆 Good Job Games - Mobile Game CI/CD Modernization As a Staff Engineer, I reviewed cloud infrastructure of Good Job Games which its running on AWS and we modernized Kubernetes infrastructure on EKS and CI/CD processes for mobile game releases and replaced legacy on-premise CI/CD system running on 6 Mac Mini machines at the company to ensure scalability and reliability.
As a Staff Engineer, I worked on Data department related tasks that especially focused on cost-optimization and solve scalability issues at AWS. We transitioned our EKS clusters node groups from EC2 Autoscaling Group to Karpenter that brings us more elasticity on EKS and reduced maintenance cost. Also, we migrated our workloads to Spot instances, especially we migrated 700+ Apache Spark ETL jobs and 1000+ cron jobs which these are running on Apache Airflow to Spot instances via Karpenter to reduce our EC2 instance costs. In the parallel, I mentored my teammates about technical skills and supported them when they are working on their projects. Also, I had opportunity to research EC2 GPU instances and integrated these instances to projects.
