Design: - Design of the Vodafone Backbone and Backhauling DWDM network. - Delivery of new capacity on Long Distance DWDM network. - Fiscal year budget definition. - Analysis of client network capacity needs. - High and Low Level design of DWDM solutions Testing: - Validation activities for new BBNS (Backbone and Backhaul Network Scaling) solution on DWDM, OTN, ASON Vodafone Network. - Development and support of design and test planning activities. - Solution feasibility evaluation, design and realization into operational network. - Inter-technology architectures investigation and evaluation. - Budget management of Test lab. Coordination with vendors and suppliers.
Troubleshooting of fixed access networks (FTTH, ULL, WholeSale and FTTC). Major tasks: - Proactive network monitoring for incidents and failures; - 2nd and 3rd level support with internal queue, emails and escalations; - Access to Huawei OLT and BNG, Ericsson and Alcatel–Lucent DSLAM/MUX; - Interfacing and employment of NOC Core, Operations and Engineering groups; - Provisioning, access and transport troubleshooting;
