Mr. Morten Eriksen, a Norwegian citizen, has more than 20 years broad international experience from the telecom industry. He holds both a BEng Honours and Master of Management degree. During the 90s he held different engineering and management positions with Telenor. He has experience from several mobile operations and companies abroad in Europe and Asia. Furthermore he has an extensive start-up experience being a key member of the start-up team in 6 companies. From 2006 he took the CEO role of a 3G mobile operator in the SEA region, successfully building this company up from scratch including establishing the company, applying for the mobile license, securing finance, building up an organization of 300 employees, constructing a nationwide mobile network and launching the company with advanced mobile services for full commercial operation. From 2009 he founded a 3G mobile operator in Thailand, a MVNO, successfully building this company up from scratch. He was also a director on the board of several companies, and one as the chairman of the board. In 2014 he made a career change from the telecom industry to the lottery and gaming industry holding a position at the Norwegian State Lottery, Norsk Tipping responsible for the distribution department and company digitalisation.
Establishing and running a Joint Venture Company (JVC) between Danske Lotteri Spil, Française des Jeux, Norsk Tipping, Svenska Spel and Veikkaus to share resources in order to build a wider and efficient digital gaming offer, allowing these lotteries to address some of the common main challenges in the digital space, and foster open innovation. The aim is to develop liquidity games and to offer an enhanced range of games to the consumers.
