I was working independently in the department for the diagnosis of plant diseases, the work consisted of: - General lab routine like cleaning, making media, acceptance of samples - Cultivation of plant pathogenic fungi and bacteria on media under sterile conditions - Using microscope, biochemical and molecular biology methods to identify plant pathogens - DNA isolation from plant pathogenic fungi/bacteria and preparing the samples for sequencing - Choosing, ordering and testing primers for DNA barcoding - Literature research of the topic DNA Barcoding

Evaluating an experiment to determine how different methods of leave removal during the summer affect yield and tree growth by apples. Work consists of: - General work in horticulture, especially apples and pears - Harvesting - Rating of Yield, fruit size/colour/form, degree of ripeness with the F/RS-Methode from Streif - Measuring shoots - Evaluating the data for presentation
