Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
I'm Morgan, a dedicated UTS law/media student with a strong passion for justice and advocacy, currently pursuing a degree to specialize in entertainment law. Balancing academics with real-world experience, I work as a Legal Administrative Assistant at Chrysiliou IP, where I support the team in intellectual property matters, legal documentation, and client communication. This role has strengthened my attention to detail, legal research abilities, and understanding of procedural law within a professional setting. Alongside my legal work, I have also developed strong interpersonal and organisational skills as a professional host at some of Sydney's most prestigious restaurants, Me-Gal and Dunes. These experiences have honed my ability to remain composed under pressure, manage diverse interactions, and maintain a welcoming and professional demeanour which are qualities that seamlessly translate into my legal pursuits. With a commitment to personal and professional growth, I aspire to make a meaningful impact in both the legal and social spheres.
I am responsible for creating a welcoming and professional first point of contact for guests. I manage reservations, greet and seat patrons, and ensure smooth front-of-house operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. I handle phone enquiries and client emails, assist with bookings and general customer requests. I also work closely with the wedding and events team to support the coordination of functions, helping ensure events ran smoothly and clients received attentive service.
I run a remote private tutoring service, providing one-on-one academic support to secondary students in English, Mathematics, Visual Arts, Legal Studies, and Earth and Environmental Science. I design tailored lesson plans based on each student’s learning style, curriculum requirements, and assessment goals. Through structured guidance, exam preparation, and targeted feedback, I help students strengthen subject understanding, improve study techniques, and build confidence in their academic performance. My students have achieved significant results, with grade improvements of over 40% and final ATAR outcomes well above their initial targets.
I work as the direct assistant to the Principal, providing support across a range of intellectual property matters. My role includes supporting client communications and assisting with drafting correspondence, while also preparing a range of legal documents as needed. In addition, I oversee the firm’s intellectual property records, keeping patent, trademark, and related rights data accurate and up to date. My responsibilities include managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, coordinating the filing of applications and supporting materials with IP offices both in Australia and internationally, and monitoring key deadlines to ensure all requirements are met on time. Moreover, I prepare invoices, record billable time and process associate invoices.
