I am a third year Mechanical Engineering Degree Apprentice at Tata Steel UK, currently working with the Link team in Cold Rolled Products. In this role, I gain hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial machinery, with a focus on preventative maintenance, isolation and immobilisation procedures, and hydraulic systems. During my first year, I was part of the Pre-Engineering team, where I developed skills in project management, structural inspections, and ensuring compliance with engineering legislation. I am passionate about developing as a mechanical engineer by combining practical, on-site experience with academic learning, and I’m keen to continue building expertise in industrial systems, reliability engineering, and large scale manufacturing.
