Nick Moore is a mechanical engineer and complex systems advisor with more than 35 years of experience helping hardware and technology teams reduce engineering risk, improve design decisions, and build products that work in the real world. Nick brings deep operating experience from WESCAM, where he built and led a multidisciplinary engineering organization developing advanced electro optical systems in a high growth aerospace and defense environment. His work spanned product architecture, design for manufacturability, supplier strategy, development process, and hands on technical problem solving. Today, Nick supports technology commercialization and engineering execution through MooreInsights. His focus is helping technically complex teams make better decisions earlier, improve design review discipline, capture critical knowledge, and avoid downstream cost, delay, and rework. Nick’s strength is helping teams see around corners by identifying the decisions, interfaces, and risks that determine whether complex products can be built reliably.
MooreInsights is focused on helping Canadian small and mid-sized companies scale product development, strengthen technical execution, and accelerate growth.
MaRS Volunteer Advisors are executives and/or entrepreneurs who have extensive experience in the tech community. We provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship, contribute to workshops and events, offer office hours, and act as a connector for the ventures to potential customers, partners, and talent within our own networks.
