Researched and co-authored amicus briefs in support of children’s rights in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems in the federal appellate courts, district courts, and U.S. Supreme Court; provided litigation support for civil rights cases; led and designed trainings for hundreds of medical, legal and education professionals on the educational, health, and privacy rights of system involved youth; provided holistic legal representation for low-income youth in child-welfare cases; analyzed federal, state, and local policy in the areas of education, juvenile justice, child welfare, and other related issues for publication, governmental policy development, and professional training; researched educational success of at-risk and system involved youth; supported JLC’s collaborative and strategic relationships between local and national advocacy, philanthropic, and governmental stakeholders to dismantle the school to prison pipeline; revamped youth engagement curriculum; supervised staff and curriculum development for two youth-led advocacy groups and additional youth engagement; Member of Pennsylvania Bar; Pennsylvania Supreme Court Children’s Roundtable, Educational Success and Truancy Prevention Workgroup Member ; Pennsylvania Bar Association, Children’s Rights Committee.
