Monika Kertész Hungarian-Bulgarian mezzo-soprano is recognized for her unique velvety warm voice and strong stage presence with deep emotionality. In her artistic existence, she combines traditional aesthetics and values with her versatility and innovation therefore she founds her performing arts collective ‘In-Pact’ to expand the possibilities between classical music, opera and contemporary performing arts. She frequently performs around Europe. Her most recent appearances include recital in the Bulgaria Concert Hall, Sofia, singing the title role of Rossini’s La Cenerentola at the National Theatre in Pécs, the mezzo-soprano solo in Schumann’s Das Paradies und die Peri” with the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, premiering her interdisciplinary performance Desdemonium at the International Shakespeare Festival Gyula, and performing in the most prestigious Hungarian concert halls like Béla Bartók Concert Hall (MUPA), Budapest Music Centre, Erkel Theatre and the Grand Hall of Franz Liszt Music Academy.
