As a Design Manager for Canadian Online Banking, I work with a talented design team, steering the course of multiple projects with varying timelines. My responsibilities extend beyond project management; I enable cross-team collaboration, coach creative talent, and set the strategic direction for our design efforts. Together, we're transforming the online banking experience, blending innovation and usability for Canadian users.
I work with agencies, start-ups, and enterprise businesses to manage and deliver on digital strategy, content, seo, and experience design.
While taking on a maternity leave contract with TELUS Digital Design Centre of Excellence, I’ve had the opportunity to dive into design leadership and DesignOps. In my first ten months with the company I’ve been able to improve the lives of designers across the team through: • Redefining design team structure to improve team culture, streamline product delivery and improve career development ladders • Roadmapping design system implementation • Improving recruitment and hiring practices • Optimizing skills development and 1:1 mentorship • Ensuring consistent design across products through cross-team design reviews • Managing stakeholders, resources, and tools that enable the design team to efficiently and effectively deliver • Increasing usage of onboarding resources by 158% by updating outdated documentation. I further improved the new hire experience by hosting onboarding sessions that help get questions answered in real-time and improve the experience of remote onboarding. • Planning and implementing TELUS’ first Junior Designer Program: recruiting, screening, interviewing designers for the program, and hosting sessions.
• Conducted UX research to inform product design -- connecting with users and solving for their pain points while also helping clients reach business goals • Led workshops rooted in design thinking and design sprint methodology, creating custom approaches to solve client needs efficiently • Designed site pages (from wireframes to lofi prototypes) for multiple website redesigns • Developed IA for complex sites, solving for considerations like multiple languages and countries • Streamlined business procedures through optimizing business process models Industries: Health, Startup, Real Estate, eLearning, Automotive, Insurance

Highlights: Clients: Nissan, INFINITI, McKinsey & Co., Blue Shield of California, business development, pitches, and many more. Developed methods that utilizes search trend data to uncover and map out content strategies and publication schedules. I travelled to conduct instructional sessions to client’s in-house teams to develop their ability to optimize all their content for search. Conducting search audits, optimizing website meta data, and uncovering optimization opportunities to consistently improve upon a site’s search performance. I led a small team of search analysts on the INFINITI USA brand; optimizing the site and finding opportunities to improve upon existing content was an ongoing effort.
