Identify and implement leading - edge technology into polymer and coatings operations. • Protected over $500K by identifying and installing distillation column with structure packing for European operations. • Saved $225K + by creating capacity for Brazilian plant and allowing for strategic product transfer.
Led all polymer process development, scale-up and technology transfer globally for Industrial Coatings • Resin Supply Network o Instrumental in creating the Resin Supply Network created to manage the $150M polymer portfolio production o This included sourcing volume internally, insourcing tolled volume and rolling out KPIs across the business units • Project Manager o Led project team that saved $2M per year by transferring 2M gallons of polymer production between production facilities in N. America • Workstream Leader o Helped protect $100M in business for can coating by leading the RDI stream for scale up and transferring the polymer production globally for new product sourcing.
Managed resin pilot facility; led all process development, scale-up and technology transfer globally from research and development into manufacturing for Packaging Coatings division. • Technical Lead for the first cross - business transfer of $2M polymer production from Europe and North America into Turkey o Created the process for producing latex and transferring this into the Gebze (Istanbul), Turkey plant • Member of the global start-up team of the $10M new resin plant in Shanghai, China in 2008 and for the $8M expansion in 2014
o Created global processes for standardizing communication and intellectual property transfer between laboratories o Created a standardized resin transfer process from research and development to manufacturing used as a basis for the overall company standard created later o Managed product regulatory safety in North America and created communication between regulatory groups within Packaging globally.
