Manage the full immigration lifecycle for employees across the US, Canada, and Latin America with a focus on efficiency and compliance. Advise HR, talent acquisition, and leadership teams on visa strategies, compliance risks, and regulatory requirements. Develop and deliver training programs and internal resources to empower HR and leadership with immigration knowledge to optimize internal processes. Provide comprehensive relocation support to global employees relocation to the Americas. Collaborate closely with external immigration counsel, global mobility/relocation/tax providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and seamless employee support.
Immigration point of contact for Meta’s Future of Work initiatives which includes remote work, domestic business travel, and global travel. Facilitate the development of Future of Work program enhancements and policy development by ensuring initiatives are aligned with immigration legal compliance. Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to strategize program enhancements to ensure the efficient and timely roll-out of updated program functionalities. Designed and developed a widely used immigration recruitment resource to aid in the hiring and onboarding of candidates with complex US immigration needs.
Oversight of H-1B cap lottery process including: assessment of US sponsored worker population to determine cap eligibility. Managed contingency planning relocation process for employees not selected in the H-1B cap lottery by coordinating with global mobility/global immigration teams in APAC, LATAM, and EMEA to provide seamless work authorization and stress-free employee experience.
Manage a fully compliant and cost-effective U.S. immigration program. Work closely with business leaders and employees to facilitate the movement of employees to and from the United States. Support over 200 employees with regard to valid non immigrant employment status. Prepare reports for internal use and in response to requests by HR, recruiting and managers across all lines of business
