• Oversaw a team of 4 through the design and manufacturing process for integration parts of a student designed rocket. • Presented designs for parts at design reviews for current peers, alumni, and industry personnel. • Researched, manufactured, and tested various designs using manual lathes/mills, CNC mills, and composites for high toleranced parts. • Completed structural integrity calculations for aerodynamic forces on parts.
• Researched different manufacturing methods for rocket fins to be used on a student designed 9’ rocket. • Manufactured fins and fin can using composite layups, waterjetting and pi-bond joints. • Manufactured and assembled the payload and nose cone coupler using a manual lathe and epoxying methods.
• Worked with the ION software for inventory management and company organization; automatized company usage, improved system, and streamlined operations. • Implemented flow and set up of the clean room, organized the gowning room, and verified clean room readiness. • Organized production flow and handled flight hardware to ensure a smooth integration process. • Communicated with multiple vendors for the procurement and manufacturing of parts. • Fulfilled kit requests and delivered parts to internal departments and outside vendors (via FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.). • Audited company accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Followed work flows to carry out visual acceptances and inspections on flight hardware.
