Role & Responsibility : ● Check processes that are consuming more resources than expected. ● Monitoring CPU utilization for critical processes like “httpd”, “mysqld”, “php”. ● Taking system backup to the remote server, compressing backup. ● Installing patches for the system and periodically checking for updates. ● Monitoring network traffic, which is accessing servers. ● Configuring firewall/iptables adding rules for incoming traffic. ● Writing shell script [bash] to automate tasks such as transfer logs, taking backup. ● Ensure network connectivity throughout the company's LAN and also WAN using tools ● Administrators, servers, laptops, printers, desktops and other devices and troubleshoot the problems. ● Changing to assign custom permissions. ● Configuring IP addresses to the interface. ● Mounting and unmounting partitions as per the requirement. ● Clearing cache and buffer after approaching application team ● Stop unwanted services on a server. ● Creating a user/deleting/set permission, creating a group and adding members.
● Troubleshoot technology issues. ● Install and maintain equipment and software. ● Support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals ● Perform troubleshooting. ● Help new employees set up their workstations. ● Maintain and upgrade equipment as needed.
