Presently working as a Biomedical Planner in Champion Hospital Kuwait. The Champion Hospital, the first General and Rehabilitation private hospital in Kuwait, has selected Oracle Cerner to implement an integrated electronic health record (EHR) platform across its full care facilities. The Cerner Millennium® EHR is designed to support a patient’s health care journey from the doctor’s office to the hospital or outpatient clinics, to post-acute care and rehab via an integrated IT platform. A multi-specialty facility located in the heart of Kuwait area, The Champion Hospital is the first phase of the Cerner Millennium® EHR implementation will be in the Hospital’s Tower A. Covering an area of 4750sqm and comprising a 26-level main building, the hospital will have one of the biggest Radiology and Lab centers in Kuwait’s private healthcare sector. It will also offer twelve surgery rooms, two hybrid surgery rooms, four one-day surgery rooms, and 70 Outpatient clinics, all under one roof. Responsible for Medical Equipment Planning including room equipment lists, room data sheets, medical equipment loaded layouts, detailed room equipment layouts, specifications, pre-installation requirements. Coordination with the project planners / architects for identifying correct room sizes and relationships with respect to medical equipment, safety, codes, staff and patient flows. Developing a comprehensive understanding of clients' program requirements, standards, policies and translating them into medical equipment requirements. Understanding the design development, modification and/or reviewing of medical equipment planning concepts and solutions.
Worked as a Sr. Bio Medical Engineer at System development project management (SDPM) Consultant in Expansion of Al Adan Hospital Ministry of Health Project Medical Buildings Kuwait. Design, Construction, Equipment, Furniture and Operational Maintenance for the Expansion of Al-Adan Hospital. Total Budget: 764,659,400 US dollar It contains three building concerning with medical equipment with 637 beds capacity: 1- Women and children Hospital: 14 floors, 199,877 m2 2- Surgical & Central Services Building, 3 floors, 36,635 m2 3- Patient Therapy & Rehabilitation Building, 7 floors, 32,731 m2 Reviewed & approve the Medical Equipment Technical Data Sheets according to the tender technical data. Reviewed & approve the Specification for all Medical Equipment & Medical Furniture according to ECRI. Reviewed & approve Medical Gas System, Pneumatic Tube System, Pneumatic Waste system. Review & approve the material received as per the source and material approvals. Review and approve the Schematic Design, Design in Detail and Final Design as per contract terms, End-User (MOH) and functional requirements. Review & approve the Source approval as per manufacturer profile and contract terms. Inspected checklists and certified the monthly payments for the FF&E, Medical gas systems and PTS as per the site progress. Review & approve Medical Equipment's Specifications, Room Data Sheets, Room Layout Sheet, Medical gas Systems Reports, Calculation and Mock-Up. Conduct routine on-site visits to resolve equipment issues related to failure. Closely monitored all maintenance records for each equipment to maintain maximum uptime.
