-Focused on the specific inhibition of muscle phosphofructokinase (PFK-1) from rabbit by ascorbate (vitamin C) -Led experiments to test working hypothesis that ascorbate inhibits PFK-1, RMAK, and LDH in rabbit muscle during periods of rest and thus facilitating the storage of glucose as muscle glycogen; during contraction, PFK-1, LDH, and AK form complexes with muscle proteins that protect them from inhibition by ascorbate -Applied learned techniques of Ion Exchange and Gel Electrophoresis -Developed written lab reports and future research recommendations
