The workshop discussed how to creatively improve and expand Sudan's electrical grid with renewable energy considerations. It will look at the technical infrastructure, politico-economic conditions, and sociocultural factors in expanding electricity access Sudan is facing an electricity crisis. Two out of every five people have no access to electricity, and those who do experience daily shortages, significantly impacting the quality of life, education, health, and development. The key outputs of these workshops will be collated into a policy brief, which will then be translated and disseminated to stakeholders and policymakers within the Sudanese government.
