Working in the AWS Enterprise Support business, I worked directly with a combination of direct customers and Partners. The role of a TAM is to maximise customer’s investments in AWS, ensuring they efficiently use AWS services to meet their business and technical goals, are Cost Optimised, Secure and Resilient. I supported my direct customers with their Cloud Transformation projects, providing advice on Managed Services, Containerisation and Serverless, and regularly ran workshops and Immersion Days to support their up-skilling. Specific to AWS partners, I assisted them supporting their end customers, to maximise satisfaction with AWS.
I was the Lead Architect for Cloud and Digital Services at ANS, and Head of Design working across ANS' Cloud and Digital Service portfolios. I built a Design business unit within ANS, focused initially on Public Cloud adoption, where I authored services which assisted clients to design solutions, target operating models and build business cases, for the transition away from legacy infrastructure and IT Ops. Over 4yrs I expanded the portfolio to include Data, Bespoke software, and Microsoft Power Platform (including D365) solutions. I grew the team, created solid revenues and margins, and also achieved an 85% conversion rate into Cloud Transformation projects.
I worked as a Solutions Architect within the ANS Pre-Sales team, specialising in the design of: - RAPID Private Cloud - Public Cloud technologies (incl. AWS/Azure and Office365) - Infrastructure applications (incl. Active Directory/Exchange/SQL and System Centre) - VDI technologies (incl. Citrix XenDesktop and VMware Horizon) I worked directly with a wide range of large public and private section organisations, to understand their challenges and requirements, and to design a target state architecture supported by innovative technology solutions.
I worked as a Technical Consultant within the ANS Professional Services team, specialising in the design and implementation of infrastructure applications (incl. Active Directory/Exchange/SQL and System Centre), and VDI technologies (incl. Citrix XenDesktop and VMware Horizon). I worked directly with a wide range of large public and private section organisations, from NHS Trusts to Global Law firms, to design and implement highly resilient enterprise solutions.
I worked for e-know.net Ltd (acquired by Nasstar in 2013) for 6years, starting out as a Support Engineer (2yrs), then I moved to the Infrastructure Department as a Technical Engineer (1yr), then I progressed to Senior Technical Engineer. My role encompassed the design, build and implementation of Private Cloud solutions, leading projects to migrate clients from traditional / in-house infrastructure and IT Ops, to e-know's Private Cloud solution, delivered over Citrix SBC/VDI. In addition, I was a 4th line escalation point for the support teams, and also assisted with pre-sales scoping and propositions. In the 4years I worked in the Infrastructure Department, I built environments for Top 100 Law firms, Accountancy firms, Recruitment Consultancies and Private Investment Houses. These projects took me all around the UK and into Europe.
I originally joined Martin Kaye as a Legal Assistant, however quickly became involved in IT by learning to manage the companies workflow templates on the Axxia Case Management System. A year after joining the company, I was promoted to Assistant Systems Manager.
