In this role, I oversee two sectors of our travel programme: air + processes, infrastructure, technology. I'm responsible for: supplier management, negotiations, contracting, spend analysis, implementation. I also participate in project management, change management, and end-to-end process creation. Based on a daily cooperation with our TMC, I ensure our programme adds value to our business and generates significant savings for the company.
I oversaw various travel-related services, including airlines, hotels, rail, rental cars, and transfers, ensuring OBT content supervision, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and optimal settings, while maintaining contact with suppliers. I also provided organizational support for audits and security as needed. I tracked system changes and access for effective change management, and ensured the correct setup of cost objects and ERP change projects in online booking tools. My role also included supporting credit card and payment processes by ensuring technological solutions and data accuracy. I assisted the T&E team with travel-related issues and was involved in the implementation and project management of new technical solutions and tools, which included testing, process ownership, and managing supplier transitions. What’s more, I was also in charge of our user communication: I managed our travel-related intranet pages as well as leveraged email and OBT communication services. I maintained contact and cooperation with our TMC, supervised tools, and managed content and development for our travel mobile app. I was also responsible for travel-related reporting, including data preparation, maintenance, and report creation on a quarterly basis and for ad-hoc requests. Finally, I offered spontaneous user help across all topics and platforms. In March 2025, I was nominated a High Potential and invited to participate in a year-long, customised career development programme.

This position sparked my interest in the IT world, allowed for my versatility (combining interpersonal & technical skills) to flourish, and greatly improved my efficiency--we were responsible for dozens of client from the DACH region.

This position taught me, among others, what needs business travellers have, how to work in a truly international environment, and how to go the extra mile for clients while remaining within the travel policy.
