The Creative Presentation course introduces students to important concepts in Communications, Audience Research, Public Speaking in various scenarios, and foundations in presentation Media Design.
This course offers an in-depth exploration of story, story structure, and the enduring cultural archetypes that have shaped human storytelling throughout history. Students engage with foundational concepts such as Joseph Campbell's Monomyth, creation and heroic myths, and the frameworks of comparative mythology. The curriculum spans a broad range of ancient mythological traditions, examining how history, geography, and cultural context inform the stories of civilizations including Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Middle East; Africa and South America; China, Japan, and India; Greece; Scandinavia; and the Celtic and Irish world. The course also considers the role of modern mythology in contemporary storytelling, connecting ancient themes to present-day narratives.
