I am a Consultant Orthopaedic and Hand Surgeon with a passion for delivering excellence in clinical care, education, and leadership. With three decades of clinical experience, I have practiced as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2010 and was appointed substantively at University College London Hospital in 2013. In addition to FRCS(Orth), I hold the European Diploma in Hand Surgery, and have completed an Executive MBA and a Level 7 Senior Leader qualification from the Chartered Management Institute. Beyond the operating theatre, I am deeply committed to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion within healthcare. I have had the privilege of serving on the Royal College of Surgeons’ Women in Surgery Forum and currently act as Co-Chair of the Race Equality and Culture Network at UCLH. I am a founder member of the British Association of Black Surgeons, and secured funding from the Royal College of Surgeons Grassroots in Surgery Scheme to develop and direct a Future Surgeons course for aspiring Black surgeons. In 2025 I was appointed a Trustee at Melanin Medics. As Deputy Director of Undergraduate Medical Education at University College London Hospitals, I am dedicated to nurturing the next generation of doctors, and ensuring that medical education remains inclusive, innovative, and empowering for all. I am a clinical and Educational Supervisor and a member of RCS(Eng) Faculty for Basic Surgical Skills and SSSHP courses. I believe that leadership in medicine extends far beyond technical skill — it is about creating environments where every individual can thrive and contribute meaningfully to patient care and the profession as a whole.
