After working for a Telecom Service provider(BSNL) and a software services based company(Wipro), Avaya was my first experience in a product based company. My primary work here involved Load and stress testing of Avaya's speech and self service platforms. The work was very challenging as it spanned a gamut of technologies from legacy to web.
As a Technical Lead/Team Lead my primary role in Wipro-Cisco involved Quality Assurance of Unified Communication and Contact Center Software Suite for Cisco and their partners. I was also instrumental in bringing up the project from inception to a team strength of more than 10. - Understanding customer requirements from Technical and business point of view - Bringing up the off shore lab from scratch - Rapidly building up domain knowledge and gaining customer confidence, were some of the initial challenges in the project. As a result my efforts were widely recognized by Customers and Wipro alike. Subsequent activities involved leading a team of 5 engineers in various major and minor releases. Working in BSNL involved Installation, O&M and Acceptance and Performance Testing of Class 4 and Class 5 Telecom switches from various vendors like (Alcatel, Lucent, Ericsson and CDot).
