A nicely projected film in a beautiful cinema can definitely be an experience even though it's not the anniversary screening of "2001. A Space Odyssey" on 70mm. It takes (technical) knowledge and experience to make a screening memorable for the audience: good equipment, the right setup, proper preparation of the films and an eye for the details that make a difference are key for a good show - especially when it comes to archive prints, to festivals with their needs and mixed format short film programs.
