Hi, I’m Miriam Wickertsheim – my chinese name is 美丽洋, which is pronounced Měi Lì Yáng and means "Beautiful Ocean" - my Chinese friend helped me pick it because my eye color is between green and blue like the sea. You could say People Business runs in the family: my dad was a professional matchmaker in Germany long before dating apps were a thing. I just took the people-matching gene and applied it to China’s business world. For the past 15+ years, I’ve helped international (mostly German-speaking or North-West European) companies hire leadership talent in China - GMs, MDs, VPs, Heads of Sales, Operations, R&D. I personally focus on roles where Chinese, English, and German need to work together for strategic roles.
