I bring 20+ years of experience in the nonprofit and private sectors, including fifteen years in development and humanitarian work. My expertise in global aid is complemented by my technical and professional skills, enthusiasm, language proficiency in English, French and Spanish, and cross-cultural sensibility. I specialize in Shelter & Settlements and Housing, Land, and Property rights (HLP). My transferable skills, including critical thinking and risk analysis, make me well-suited for program adviser, capacity sharing coordinator, and policy advisor roles. In these positions, I can provide strategic insights, support advocacy initiatives, and enhance project outcomes, accountability and organizational effectiveness. My learning and humanitarian journey began in Mexico and has taken me across the globe, living and working in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Haiti, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Philippines, Paraguay, Iran, Jordan, and Lebanon. Additionally, I've spent seven years providing support from Canada and Norway to colleagues and local partners in over thirty countries. My research and editing skills have been crucial in developing technical guidance, briefs and reports, and providing peer-review for a range of documents such as articles and handbooks. I have led and contributed to strategy development, proposal writing, and project implementation. During field visits, I evaluate project quality, provide detailed feedback and focus on problem-solving. I have co-chaired and participated in various forums, and mentor colleagues to share their experiences globally.
