At Child & Family Service, my role as a Case Manager is centered on participant life skills development and licensing, recruitment, and training support for Transitional Family Home (TFH) Parents. Through a foundational understanding of developmental psychology, trauma-informed care, and person-centered approaches, I collaborate with parents and treatment team members to assess participant strengths and build upon challenges in areas of social, interpersonal, and independent-living skills. My knowledge of state guidelines for parent licensure, and training of Transitional Family Home Parents contribute to stable and nurturing environments that enable each participant the best opportunities for growth and success in the TFH program.
Recruitment, training, and licensing of therapeutic resource caregivers (foster parents) with Child & Family Service’s Transitional Family Homes Program.
Supporting program participants in strengthening and attaining age-appropriate skills necessary for personal, academic, financial, and interpersonal functioning.
Assisted children between the levels of Kindergarten and Third Grade in learning and practicing reading skills and comprehension. Assisted teacher with grading papers, and administering reading tests.
Created reservations, greeted and checked guests in, posted charges and adjustments, and settled guest accounts at check-out. Routinely used suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and promote hotel services. Utilized knowledge of proper credit card and cash-handling procedures to comply with payment card industry standards and maintain cash accountability. Applied strong knowledge of local and surrounding area attractions and restaurants for guests. Assisted owners and management in clerical tasks. Interacted and communicated effectively with persons of various cultures and backgrounds to ensure customer satisfaction.
