As a high-level math competitor, my proudest achievements are placing 3rd in Canada in the 2024 University of Waterloo Euclid Contest and qualifying for the 2025 USA Math Olympiad. I also qualified for the Gold Level in the 2025 USA Computer Olympiad. I love sharing my competition experiences with peers to help them succeed, so I decided to run our school’s math and computer science clubs this year. I have been teaching helpful problem-solving techniques, such as using Vieta’s Theorem to solve polynomials and how to apply efficient data-reading structures for CS. After the competition season ended, I also created a cryptography competition, an escape room challenge, and a fermi estimation activity to show club members that STEM learning can be fun. As an international student, I know studying abroad can be lonely, so I studied psychology and designed aipsychiatrist.ca for those who need accessible basic therapy. While creating the website, I learned how to fine-tune my own AI model based on GPT 3.5 Turbo and implement it with a Flask backend in Python. Then, I learned how to use JavaScript to embed my model in the website and HTML and CSS to make the website visually appealing. This summer, I’m looking forward to applying my math sense and computer science skills through an online summer internship in the fields of quantitative finance, data analytics, machine learning/AI, website development, and data engineering. I'm excited to bring my passion for problem-solving and innovation to a team where I can contribute meaningfully while continuing to grow as a learner and builder.
