Through Umoja I conducted a four-month study examining the social and emotional experiences of first- and second-generation immigrant youth in the Fargo community. analyzed responses to identify challenges around cultural identity, first-generation pressures, and navigating multiple cultures. Findings were shared with Umoja Inc. to help supporting immigrant youth and fostering cross-cultural connection. Auditioned for FargoTEDx with this topic (not selected) and later discussed research and immigrant youth experiences at a regional conference roundtable for educators across multiple counties.
