As the Dean of College of Counseling at Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill, I partner with high schoolers navigating one of the most meaningful decisions of their early lives: where to go next. I love that I'm in a classical Christian K-12 school that takes an unhurried approach to student growth without sacrificing rigor, intellectual depth, or high expectations. My path has been winding and unconventional to say the least. Engineer first, then MBA, then career coach at Duke's Fuqua School of Business. God clearly has a sense of humor and an excellent taste in plot twists. What looked like a series of detours turned out to be exactly where I needed to be. Turns out that thinking like an engineer, advising like a coach, and genuinely caring about the whole person is a pretty powerful combination for helping people figure out where they belong.
-Created a weekly analytical report to identify improvement opportunities for a product operations team that execute client change requests to increase efficiency and prioritize initiatives appropriately -Built, managed, and operationalized a change management process for all (40+) client requests; implemented the change requests, often collaborating with x-functional teams ranging from engineering to account management -Created a new benefit administration artifact with senior executives to standardize policy, legal, and technical language to communicate Guild’s operational processes and products to all existing and new clients in a consistent and accurate way; led the change management process for 35+ existing clients
-Managed and coached a product operations team of 3 people; established a transparent and supportive culture that resulted in upward mobility and growth for direct reports -Ensured successful 100+ partner launches and product changes by collaborating with x-functional teams to develop, improve, and execute efficient operational processes
Owned relationships and strategy for 5+ SMB clients across multiple industries (nonprofit, CPG, interior design); identified pain points and opportunities to drive business results and managed cross-functional team to deliver customized solutions ranging from website design to social media management
-Executed social media ads that resulted in new customer acquisition after finding oversaturation in existing customer base with outdated marketing strategies -Rebuilt email layout and content and added new merchandising functionality to the website -Improved age of inventory of products with historically lower sales with targeted and strategic email campaigns -Created a weekly KPI report to identify effectiveness of e-commerce and email marketing strategy
