• Pitched equity derivatives trade ideas and launched product marketing campaigns • Provided day-to-day pricing and execution/booking support for the Structured Equity Derivatives business • Worked with relevant parties (including RMs, Investment Counsellors, Equity traders, Structuring, control functions) to develop and implement new Equity structures suitable to the current market and client requirements • Analyzed existing client portfolios to identify opportunities for restructuring/rebalancing • Built new tools for the desk, to automate processes relating to trade flow analysis, pricing feedback and daily pricing runs, increasing efficiency, consistency and accuracy at work
Rotations: Citi Velocity, Emerging Market Credit Trading • Prepared clients with monthly equity market overview, financial terms definition sheet, leading indicators for sales prediction and US Agency MBS reports, increasing the sales commission forecast • Studied structured products like CDO/CLO, Credit-Linked Note, Total Return Swaps, Nth-to-Default Baskets • Developed a customer segmentation tool in Excel Macro by conducting data mining of 6 months’ customer records • Identified the hit ratio/ health status of UST E-trading clients and flagged key issues that needed improvement • Improved P&L estimate accuracy by 200% through refining spreadsheet formulas to calculate the PV of CDS & FTD • Launched an email marketing campaign that targeted 1700+ APAC clients to re-engage with Citi Velocity website
• Analyzed the credit quality of a Microfinance Institution’s loan portfolio and conducted benchmarking analysis • Developed a model to forecast non-performing loans in 5 years under base-case and stress-case scenarios
• Presented to 100+ sales representatives in partner banks on the features of new financial products: 21-day Cash Management Fund, 1 year Interval Bond Fund and Credit/Convertible Bond Fund • Collected and organized customers’ feedback by interviewing sales managers to facilitate sales tracking • Wrote a daily digest of monetary policy, economic statistics, market overview, business news, etc.
