I have always like to work with numbers and knowing that Accounting skills and knowledge are transferable to other jobs, I decided to start my accounting journey in NYP. My interest in Accounting started to grow in Poly, and I set my mind to expand my accounting knowledge by embarking on the NYP-ACCA Accelerated Pathway Programme which enabled me to complete the Fundamentals level of the ACCA Qualification. Through this programme, I had the opportunity to intern at Ernst & Young which allowed me to put my knowledge into use and gained valuable working experience. I continued to pursue my accounting journey at SMU, and was involved in SMU-MCCY Transparency Assessment as part of community service activity. I gained insights into the MCCY transparency standards of charity organisation. With this experience, I had a better understanding on the transparency and governance which is crucial in the workplace to deal with ethical issues. After all these experiences, I aspire to be a Professional Chartered Accountant with the knowledge in Data Analytics skill that meets the demand of future Accounting needs. I will continue to embark on journey that would bring me to a greater heights throughout my studies in SMU, in the hope of becoming an asset to the company in future.
