As a Site Reliability Engineer at Apple, I manage the reliability of large-scale, multi-cloud production services by defining SLOs, overseeing error budgets, and enhancing system resilience through proactive alerting and automated remediation. I lead cross-functional incident response and build internal automation frameworks to reduce operational toil, ensuring the team maintains five-nines reliability targets. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, I focus on integrating AI-augmented observability into production monitoring systems. Built and scaled the reliability foundation for Zomato's hyper-growth phase — supporting the platform through rapid user base expansion across India and international markets. Designed and implemented monitoring, logging, and tracing infrastructure (observability stack) that gave engineering teams real-time visibility into system health. Automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning, enabling engineering teams to ship faster with guardrails — reducing deployment incidents by standardising rollout procedures. Established on-call processes, runbooks, and SLO frameworks from the ground up, embedding a reliability engineering culture into a fast-moving product organisation. Partnered with ML and data teams to operationalise early recommendation and search models — foundational work that grew into a full MLOps practice.
