I have been collaborating in the educational sector for more than five years, and to date, I have had the opportunity to propose various artistic projects both during lesson time and in extracurricular activities. The proposed activities include theoretical learning modules and practical activities that have been essential in promoting a participatory and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom. Stimulating and guiding the development of students' ideas is a mode of artistic expression that deeply fascinates me, analyzing and imagining new solutions, thereby reshaping the boundaries of creativity.
In this hands-on workshop, I guided young artists through the fascinating journey of blueprint creation and printmaking, where creativity met craftsmanship. The experience was more than just about making prints, it was about transforming abstract ideas into tangible and meaningful designs. Each participant had the opportunity to bring their imagination to life, navigating the delicate balance between precision and artistic freedom. From the first sketch to the final print, students explored a variety of techniques, including etching, painting, and blueprint design. Along the way, they discovered the intricacies of layering, composition, and form, developing a deeper understanding of how details shape the bigger picture. Collaboration was woven into every aspect of the workshop, sparking conversations and idea exchanges that pushed each student’s work to new levels. By working together on collective projects and sharing feedback, participants gained invaluable insights not only into their own processes but also into the creative journey of others. The excitement of seeing a blueprint evolve into a print empowered the students, showing them that their ideas could move from concept to reality. By the end of the program, they weren’t just printmakers, they were visual storytellers equipped with the skills to turn any vision into something real, whether it was through traditional printmaking methods or innovative blueprint techniques.
This artistic lab is a vibrant space where young minds can explore their creativity and express themselves through various art forms. It serves as a sanctuary for imagination, allowing students to experiment with different mediums and techniques. The lab encourages collaboration and interaction among students, fostering a sense of community and teamwork that makes learning both enjoyable and enriching. Throughout the program, students investigated and developed their skills in drawing, printmaking, and painting, discovering the unique qualities of each medium. They engaged in hands-on activities that sparked their curiosity and inspired them to think outside the box. By working together on projects, they learned the value of sharing ideas and constructive feedback, which not only enhanced their artistic abilities but also built their confidence.

The workshop revealed the complexity behind creating a seemingly simple object: the pillow. The design and creation process became a story intertwined with arts and crafts. Phase 1: Students explored fabric's role in art history and digital tailoring through an engaging presentation. They learned about upholstery, fiber-yarn-fabric, and weave and warp structures. Experts then presented images to illustrate material strength and functions, sparking the design phase and unleashing students' creativity. Phase 2: Creating the pillow cover marked the start of material experimentation. Students transferred their preparatory drawings from paper to fabric, bridging the gap between concept and tangible creation. Phase 3: In a tactile workshop, students experienced upholstery work firsthand. Hand sewing, with its slow and meticulous movements, introduced them to a different spatial-temporal approach. They crafted pillows from synthetic batting, filled them with foam shavings, and covered them with painted and stitched cotton fabric. Phase 4: The journey concluded with a storytelling session where students reflected on transitioning from two-dimensional sheets to three-dimensional objects. The pillow became a medium for expressing the potential of fibers, weaves, and personal stories. This workshop not only taught practical skills but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the artistry in everyday objects.
