A Senior IT Manager with a solid technical background is responsible for forming IT teams oriented towards problem-solving and collaboration. This role includes managing IT operations, service management, and infrastructure optimization, as well as facilitating communication between technical and business stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment. The position also involves supporting innovation and information sharing within a dynamic IT environment.
• Oversee the deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of network, server, and storage infrastructure. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance. • Manage and continuously improve the end-user support function, ensuring timely resolution of issues and enhancing user satisfaction. • Collaborate with our cybersecurity team to implement security measures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure data protection of IT, OT and ICS. • Work with key vendors for hardware, software, and infrastructure services. Manage procurement processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure SLAs are met. • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, system engineers and dev op's cloud Engineers. Set clear performance expectations and professional development plans. • Effectively manage team resources, prioritizing and aligning tasks based on business needs, project timelines, and operational demands. • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and establish individual development plans. Recognize and reward high performance to maintain team motivation and engagement. • Cross-Department Collaboration: Serve as a liaison with IT and other business areas to understand their technology needs, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment with infrastructure goals. • Lead multi-year transformation initiatives to enhance system efficiency and security, including cloud migration, disaster recovery planning, facilities and legacy system retirements. • Develop and manage infrastructure Op-Ex and Ca-Ex budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. • Drive cost-efficiency projects, forecast budgets, track expenditures, and manage vendor contracts. • Oversee planning, execution, and deployment of large-scale IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. • Collaborate with stakeholders on project status, risks, and outcomes to maintain transparency and stakeholder engagement.
• Support for Five Locations Nationwide: Responsible for overseeing all networking equipment, security access, and telecommunications across five locations. This role involves extensive maintenance of the in-house Warehouse Management System "Accellos." • Motorola Hand-Held Industrial Scanners: Manage inventory, repairs, and provide support for internal Motorola hand-held industrial scanners. • EDI Communications: Supervise and troubleshoot EDI communications to ensure uninterrupted operations. • IT Functions: Accountable for all IT functions, including department budgeting, help desk management, infrastructure, internal wireless systems, VPNs, internet connections, printers, and copiers. Provide daily support and troubleshooting for local and remote operations across the enterprise. VMware Environment and Office 365: Administer the VMware environment, Office 365 suite, Windows Servers, Linux Servers, SQL Servers, Terminal servers, end-user hardware, and backup systems. • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Oversee and implement Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for the organization. • Vendor Relations: Maintain technology support/service contracts and manage relationships with vendors. • Office Remodel Project Manager: Lead and manage office remodel projects to ensure successful completion.
